Meet the Owners
Dan & Janet Carmichael
The pair originally hail from the chilly state of Michigan. After enjoying numerous summers of blistering heat, a few serious droughts, and a round or two of swarming cicadas, they knew Nashville was the ONLY place to live and raise their two, now adult-like, children. Dan and "Dan's wife", as she was known for many years while she traveled extensively during corporate-American life, opened their first Big Frog store in 2011. You'll be hard pressed not to find Dan in some king of Big Frog apparel nor find Janet not thinking about her next store location.
Meet the Team
Big Frog specializes in creating one-of-a-kind designs just for you. Not only is there no set up cost, our graphic designers will make a perfect design for any occasion, and it's free! Get to know the Big Frog of Franklin team:
If it's small, Ashley loves it. If you can sing the phrase rather than say it, Ashley sings it. If it's yellow, Ashley prizes it. Ashley packed her bags with her beloved hedgehog, Oliver, and headed from VA to TN in 2013 when she started with Big Frog shortly thereafter. When not managing the Franklin store, you can find Ashley making tiny little things out of paper. OK, not just tiny but ADORABLE little things.
You know you've met a serious graphic artist when they tell you that their favorite color is not red, not brown, not blue, but BURGUNDY. Speeding from the high winds of Chicago, Rob found a home with Big Frog in 2016. If Rob's not swinging the ole hickory stick, he's swinging his saw piecing together delightful picture frames. If that wasn't peaceful enough, know that he is marrying this winter on the soft, sandy beaches of Ecuador. Jealooousss.
If you've ever said to yourself, "If only I had a friend that wore blue lipstick and mermaid tights", then you must come into Big Frog and meet Tori. Despite self-describing herself as "making things weird", Tori's practical and down to earth attitude will normalize situations like no other. Transporting originally from Washington state, Clarksville won her heart temporarily when it sounded out the Austin Peay cheer of "Let's Go Peay". Now who's weird?
This Ohioan, Blufftonian to be exact, is known to meow every now and then when the moment needs it. Skilled beyond graphic art, Kat loves to make jewelry using copper, silver and enamel. While we all can understand the crossover to jewelry from this collegiate athlete, we still struggle with her irrational fear of fish. Seriously, the fish lips? The gills? Danger, danger.
